Women's Cake Bake and Auction for VBS
On April 25th we had our second of three fundraisers for VBS 2010 coming in June. We had a wonderful chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, rolls, and beans which was served by our youth. Our judges decided 1st - 3rd place cakes then we auctioned them off to the highest bidder. Thanks to the great turn out and the auction donations we raised another
$1,386.00.
Thank you to all who cooked, served, donated. or supported this amazing way to serve our community!
Combined with our first fundraiser we have a total for VBS 2010 of
$2,038.00

We are so proud of our graduates and we enjoyed honoring them on May 30th in both of our services. We pray a special blessing that they will take what they have learned and begin their journey of success in their career.

We had a wonderful time at this years Hunt. We had the Easter Bunny come to take pictures with everyone and also some tasty hot dogs for lunch. Thanks to all who came and those that helped make it possible.

Chill Zone 2010
Central Baptist of Douglasville hosted Chill Zone 2010. We had an amazing time with crafts, games, & singing. VBS' Jeff Slaughter was there and sang some of last years songs and also introduced the new songs for VBS 2010. Here are some pics of the wonderful time we had!

We had our first fundraiser for VBS 2010. We served salad, spaghetti, & garlic bread. Our youth served the meal and also helped setup the hall. After dinner we had our judges decide which cake (made by the men of the church) got 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places. After awarding the hearts and gift certificates we auctioned off the cakes to the highest bidder. We had a blast and thank all who came to donate and the workers who made it all happen. Here are some pics of the fun and the winners of the Bake Auction.

On December 28-29 we attended the Y. E. C. at the Coliseum in Macon Georgia. We listened to Todd Agnew & The David Crowder Band. Then we were inspired by the messages of Anson McMahan & Ed Newton. And finally we laughed till it hurt to The Skit Guys. We had a wonderful time and can't wait till we go again next December. Here are some pics of the trip.

We had a wonderful birthday party for Jesus. We played games, did activities, and served pancakes all to celebrate our Savior's birth! Santa and Mrs. Claus came and saw each and every child to see what they wanted for Christmas.

We had a blast learning about Australia and how IT ALL COMES BACK TO JESUS! With your help we had one of our best years at Vacation Bible School. Thanks to all the teachers, workers, leaders, techs, and to the community for responding so well this year.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
for McKenzie Carey
On May 30th we had a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for McKenzie Carey. This wonderful 7 year old has a rare genetic disorder called Mitochondria and is need of treatment that is not covered by insurance. With your donations we raised over $600.00 to use when they leave on the 7th of June for her next set of treatments.
